Marie et Vincent Tricot

Vincent and Marie worked in Beaujolais in the 1990s and were strongly influenced by the work of Jules Chauvet and Marcel Lapierre and after a lengthy search for vineyards, they settled in the Auvergne, mostly for economic reasons. They took over 4.5 hectares of land in 2002 planted with gamay d'auvergne, pinot noir and chardonnay as well as small amounts of sauvignon and muscat and their first wine Le Marcotte was ready in 2003.

The soil consists of clay, limestone and volcanic basalt and the vineyards have been certified organic since 1972.
